Files
A file manager for your workspace. Browse folders, preview files, download them, upload new ones and delete what you no longer need.
The File Browser shows the files in your workspace: the documents the AI created, the uploads you gave it, and your project folders. Preview a file, download it, or upload new ones for the AI to work with.
Open it from the File Browser tab on the right edge of the main screen, from the chat's Command Center → Files ("Browse workspace files."), or by clicking a file link in an answer (it opens that file's preview).
What you see
- The header: the window title and the current folder, a Search this folder box, and buttons for Go to parent folder, Upload Files, Upload Folder and close.
- The list: Name, Size and Modified columns. Click a column to sort by it. Folders always come first. Each row ends with download and delete buttons.
- Folder sizes: they read Calculating... at first, then a size. A size starting with ">=" is a partial total. Unavailable means the size could not be measured, not that the folder is empty.
- When nothing shows: "No files found" for an empty folder, or "No files match" followed by your search.
Preview a file
Click a file to open the viewer. It shows the file name and size and a download button, and Back to Files returns to the list.

Other types show "Preview not available for this file type", with a Download File button.
Download and upload
- Download a file with the download button on its row or in the viewer. A folder downloads as a
.zip. - Upload with Upload Files (one or many files) or Upload Folder (keeps the subfolders). Uploads go into the folder you are looking at.
- Watch the progress overlay. When it finishes you see "Uploaded" with the name or the number of files. If some fail, the message lists them.
Delete
Press the bin on a row and confirm. You see "File deleted successfully." when it is done.
Find a file
- Open folders by clicking them, and go back up with Go to parent folder.
- Search this folder filters the folder you are in by name. It does not search subfolders.
- Click Name, Size or Modified to sort, and click again to reverse.
Limits
- Each upload can be up to 100 MB. Archives (zip, tar, gz, rar, 7z) are not held to that limit.
- A folder lists up to 10,000 items. Hidden files are shown.
- The File Browser cannot rename, create folders, move items or select several at once. Use Coding Lab or a project's Files tab in Projects for that.
- Esc closes the whole window, not only the viewer.
