Scheduler
One view of everything that runs on a clock. Your scheduled tasks, published workflow schedules and Goal check-ins, as a list, a board or a calendar.
The Scheduler shows every piece of work that starts on its own: tasks you schedule, workflows you published with a schedule, and Goal check-ins. It sits in the Agency window on the Scheduler tab. Open it from Agency in the sidebar.
What you see
- One toolbar: Search schedules, a source filter (All, Tasks, Workflows, Goals), a state filter (All states, Ready, Running, Disabled, Failed), the view switch and a select button.
- Three views:
- List: columns Schedule, Source, Next run, Executor and State. The executor is the agent, the team, or Default Nova.
- Board: one column per state.
- Calendar: a week or month, with Today and previous and next buttons. Events are colored by source; a busy day shows +N more.
The view refreshes every five seconds. Times are shown in your browser's timezone.
Create a scheduled task
- Press New Schedule.
- Task ("What should happen?"): choose a type, then give it a name and instructions.
- Recurring repeats on a schedule.
- Specific times runs at one or more exact moments.
- Manual runs only when you press Run now.
- Goal check-in reviews your goals on a schedule. See the next section.
- Schedule ("When should it run?"): for Recurring, pick Hourly, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Interval (every N minutes, hours or days) or Advanced (five cron fields). A preview line shows the result and the timezone. For Specific times, add each date and time.
- Execution ("Who should execute it?"): choose an Agent (Default Nova or one of your agents) or a Team. Optionally link a goal, and switch Knowledge (memory and RAG) and Work mode (tools and actions) on or off.
- Press Create Task.
A side panel previews the type, the timing, the executor and the timezone as you go. Under Advanced execution context you can add system instructions and attachments, or point the task at an existing chat.
Goal check-ins
A Goal check-in has Nova review your goals on a schedule.
- Press New Schedule and choose Goal check-in.
- Choose the scope, One Goal (then pick it) or All permitted Goals, and say what Nova should review.
- Choose Recurring or One time and set the time.
- Press Create Check-in.
Check-ins have no executor step. You can also set check-ins, and how Nova may contact you, from the Goals tab, under Agreement. See Goals.
Row actions
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Run now | Starts the item immediately and shows Run started. It is refused if the item is already running. |
| Disable or Enable | Turns a task's schedule off or on. |
| Edit | Opens the task in the same three-step dialog. |
| Open source | On workflow rows, opens that workflow in the editor. On goal rows without a rule, opens the goal. |
| Delete | Removes the task after you confirm. Deleting a Goal check-in leaves the goal itself unchanged. |
Each kind of row has its own rules:
- Workflow rows offer only Run now and Open source. To pause, edit or remove a workflow's schedule, use its card on the Workflows tab.
- Goal check-ins can be edited, disabled and deleted when they come from a check-in rule.
Clean up in bulk
Click the select button next to the views. You can select visible items or all removable ones, then Remove selected (up to 1,000 at a time). Workflow rows cannot be removed here.
Where the work happens
Each task runs in its own chat, named after the task, unless you point it at an existing chat. It uses the agent or team you chose, or Default Nova. In this tab you see each item's state and its next run, and a toast when you start one by hand. Schedules that Nova creates for you from a chat appear here as Tasks.
